Last Monday, a Nevada delegation took a fact-finding trip to the only major American city that has above-board lounges in which marijuana can legally be consumed.

  • Assemblyman Steve Yeager, North Las Vegas Councilman Isaac Barron, and Senator Tick Segerblom visited Barbary Coast and Harvest, where they caught some of the instant classic Chiefs-Rams game.
  • The politicians also met with San Francisco office of Cannabis Director Nicole Elliot, who told them that local lounge operators owners are warned that they operate at their own risk, where state authority is concerned.
  • Twenty-four hour lounges could come to Las Vegas as early as this year. "We can start small," said Segerblom, who has a strain named for him. "But we don't have to."
